I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
